I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition,* where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories.
I am also a 20-year yoga practitioner and 200-hour registered yoga teacher. I completed my 200-hour training with the Samudra School of Living Yoga, and also completed training in Yin Yoga with Josh Summers in Boston. I am a level II Usui Reiki practitioner and intuitive healer. I have been practicing mindfulness meditation for almost 20 years.
I have also studied herbalism and the plant-based diet for many years. I've helped develop organic farms, an herbal beverage company, and an apothecary, as well as studying herbalism and permaculture in New England and Costa Rica. My work with a lifestyle medicine organization helping people integrate lifestyle changes to reduce diabetes has given me specific insight into this growing population.
